Just finished the ending which made me sad because i loved it! 

Came here for the NSFW (because that's why everyone else is here and you are 100% lying if you said you weren't) but was shocked that not only is there great art but a entertaining story to go with it.  

When progressing I figured the Inn was a one stop shop to rest and buy items like any RPG.  But when I noticed that the settlement was really expanding, It got me invested into the details and looking forward to what will happen next. There were a few times i had to slap myself to realize why I was originally drawn to play this game In the first place!

This has made me looking forward to checking often for updates and when prowler Is finished. 10/10 game for me. <3

I'm kind of stuck. I'm at the cliffside cavern. and am blocked by a locked cell. where do I find that key? it's for the area in the cave with the red slimes after using the mine cart. Also where can I find stronger equipement?

That door cannot be opened yet. Your destination is actually back in the cliffside caverns. You're looking for an archway, near the mine cart. Head through and down the stairs.

You'll be able to get stronger equipment soon. After you finish some events down there in the caves, you'll have an opportunity to do a bit of shopping.

yea I know of the archway you're referring to. I'm currently staying in place and am grinding levels. The enemies are pretty strong in that next area.

Don't forget to use all your various abilities and items. You should be able to clear the cave at level 4-5!

I'll say there's a useful magic ability you can use against slime foes, that you may have missed. If you have any old saves from back in the blue slime forest... there's a certain person you can rescue, and they'll give you an item that works as a 'key' to access an area with a useful spell!

the rookie adventurer has been saved. I do recall him mentioning something about a certain place surrounded by slime. But have yet to find that location. There is that one rune that I cannot pass due to paralysis. I'm currently level 9. I have gone through the forest multiple times now but nothing really stood out to me. Unless that rescue can expire? Then i might have missed it. Otherwise I might go look for him. Also once you leave the forest. A certain key item loses power. Is that also permanent once you have left the forest? Can that item be recharged somewhere?

You pretty much answered all your own questions! Yes, you need to rescue the rookie, get that item he gives you, and you need to use it to pass the 'paralysis' thing.

And yes, that item does expire when you leave the forest, so you need to do it before leaving. And yes, there's a way to 'recharge' that item too.

Hi! Love the game, been playing it every now and then. But uh, I think I ran into some problems? I can't seem to access my saves. They exist, but the game won't read the files or something. I'm only around 3 hours or so into the game, and in the second digital world area so honestly I'm not too far into the game, but I kinda don't want to lose the progress i already have.

Any advice as to what I should do?

Did you extract the game from the zip file when you downloaded it? If you don't do that, the game can't actually write new save files since zipped folders are read-only.

There's an inconsiderable amount of lag when you reach to level "Your room?" and carries on when having to reach to a study room having to hit the buttons.

Do you happen to be playing on an external USB drive / Hard drive? I'd recommend you try running Grove on an internal drive (such as placing it on your desktop) as USB struggles to process the rapid image checks.

I do tend to have GROVE on a main drive which is my desktop but something could be fact of performance issues and also the jump pads also causes lag issues when not activated by the altar necklace

Hi, I have been trying to complete what has already been made for the gallery but I have one that I still haven't been able to complete even after looking around trying to get the scene with the tipo of "the memory is covered in some white stains, and the skins of an unrecognizable green fruit...you walk into a small farm something green catches your eyes..."

Like the closest I got to unrecognizable green fruit was the apple (the only other thing similar to that that I found was a dream scene.) but I have already checked all the farms I could remember to no avail.

So I would really appreciated If someone were to answer what do I need to do to get that scene, because I am well and truly stuck.

This can be found fairly early into the game. After rescuing the blacksmith from the slime caverns, travel one screen to the right of the Inn. The beginnings of a farm will be there, and a box of green fruit... try eating one.

The fruit should stay there for quite some time. I don't recall when exactly the cut-off point is. Try looking there now, and if not, try going back to an earlier save. You can unlock gallery chest with earlier save files!

what I do in the cliffside cavern camp? I don't know to  I don't understand how I keep playing from that point. I got stuck

There should be a pathway to follow through the cavern, past many red slimes. 

Near the bottom of the caverns is a minecart railway and an archway. Pass through the shadowy archway and follow the path into the next area and defeat the enemies inside.

You've answered your own question. The game isn't recommended for mobile play and will experience bad lag spikes and missing visual elements. There's nothing we can really offer to help with mobile performance I'm afraid.

I’m Japanese so maybe my English is poor but I have a question.

Now my grove is 13 level about how much contaminated he is. This is  because I tried to rise the level for no reasons.(Now I completed the first quest and rescue a dragonewt after find oranges. The battle was hard for me)


and I feel the more I rises that levels, the more difficult this game. Is this right?

The "corruption" level does make certain things more difficult, like reduced melee damage, and causes some dialogue decisions to result in more sexual actions and danger.

Good luck with the game. The difficulty does increase as you continue, so remember to buy HP items and Save Game frequently!

I really like the game. It has a nice gameplay, a great story, lots of jokes and some good "scenes".

I started playing it for the nsfw, but ended up continuing because of the story and humour.

I love the fact there seems to be a whole culture behind the story and the diferent characters are amazing. (especially Kuno)

I really like the buns too, they are a recurring item throughout the story and they make such an amazing addition.

If I may ask, I do have a bit of a silly question, but if you look at the map... the shape of the peninsula, is it coincidental or... (I've been stuck with this question for almost a year now.)

A small idea for an update: give the keys [wads] the same function as the arrow keys. It would allow for playing with one hand ;-)

Good luck with working on the game (and the other thing you might be doing in life). I'm looking forward to the next update!

RPG Maker MV doesn't natively support WASD controls but it's something we might look into in the future.

--BUG REPORT--

v0.308 Linux: Ubuntu 20.04.6 Long Term System

After waking up from the nightmare sequence in which you have to push the buttons and avoid the imp, I found that all my inventory items were gone. All I had was my gold and the "Helpful Mist" armour piece given during the nightmare. I presume after the game clears the inventory for the nightmare, it does not return the player's old inventory and simply leaves you with the Helpful Mist. 

I had two independent playthroughs (using the same download of the game), and both playthroughs had this issue. This bug is especially impactful since Tuon is away and you cannot purchase any new weapons.

Quick note: To play the game, i am not running the "nw" file, but instead running the "Game(DONT RUN)" file. I find the "nw" file does not run, but the "Game(DONT RUN)" runs without issues (until now).

That issue you're having is why it's called DON'T RUN.

Please use the "nw" file to play the game. 

chmod +x nw,
chmod +x crashpad_handler (or something like this, I don't remember the exact file name)
and then ./nw

Thank you for your help. The problem is now fixed, I just didn't know how to run the nw file. I do advise including more instructions in the readme though.

I like this game So far would like to have a Walk through to find all the different amours and help with how much corruption you can take and so on for when I get stuck if possible Please and thanks.

how to remove the black underwear to go away from the forest??? 

There's a pink sigil / circle on the floor in the forest. Near the big green puddle. Walk over that circle and go through the area beyond.

Love this game. So much so it inspired me to buy a copy of RPG maker to see if i can make a little project of my own.

I gotta ask though, how did you create the tree that can be knocked over to create a bridge? Was it via a plugin?

No it was done though eventing. The tree knockdown consists of 3 events that show the physical sprite of the upright log, with the bottom-most log being the event that can be interacted with. When activated, it’ll enable a switch that turns off all the upright tree sprites for that instance, removing it from view.

The second half consists of the 3 invisible ‘path’ events that are perpendicular to the upright events. These are activated when the aforementioned ‘tree down’ switch is turned on, and have their priorities set to ‘below the player’ so that it can override the deep water barrier.

Ive gotten to the part where you need to find some fruit and get attacked on your way back to deliver it. But the fact that you cannot hurt this opponent any other way than the grapple moves has proven to incredibly frustrating. I have the repaired slave armor and the purified black thong. But the problem is that if i miss on any one of my grapple attacks i loose and its game over. This opponent is (in my opinion) a little op. I appreciate a challenge in a game. Theres no fun in a game otherwise. But this just frustrating. And resorting to going around fighting the blue and green slimes trying to level up and prepare for this battle is also a little frustrating due to how long it takes this late in the game to get 1 level up. I've tried to go back to the dessert to fight more of the snake things and I've tried to go SW to fight the slugs n stuff. But they're all gone. I'm gonna have to spend hours and hours trying to level up for this one battle. I'd like to be able to continue fighting stronger enemies to make leveling up go much faster. So. My suggestion is to not block off the dessert and let players keep fighting snakes. Or leave a section in the sw forest where we can keep fighting slugs. 


Aside from all that complaint, though. I do VERY much enjoy this game A LOT. It has plot, conflict, character development, fun/interesting interactions with not only the items on the map but between characters as well. It's a great game. I love it. Im just stuck right now and getting mad. So im terribly sorry if it feels like I'm taking my frustration out on you. I truly don't mean to. I'm mostly just trying to vent and ask for advice.


My only other suggestion is that I would appreciate it if your cutscene pictures had color. Personal opinion: the black and white drawings make the game feel incomplete. And I get it. It is still a work on progress and I don't mean to rush you. You're doing an amazing job! Keep It up! ^-^

I personally like that Grove doesn't get any dom scenes. But I'm a gay bottom and I don't like to top so of course not having dom scenes works well for me. But after seeing some of the potential in games like Corruption of Champions, I can understand why people are asking for that. That being said, I'd be interested in seeing more of Grove jizzing from being fu**ed by monsters without said monsters touching his d*ck. (Personal kink for me. I love hands free ejaculations.)

I have rediscovered the cave with the red slimes and green-slimed-dragons. Maybe this wont be as bad as i thought.

The boss you're fighting isn't really one to be defeated just through sheer brute force. There's plenty of other methods to deal with him, you just need to use the other tactics available to you.

You can try using items. You could try using Strip. You could let him grapple you and then Resist at just the right moment. There's a handful of different ways to win this fight, and grinding isn't the intended solution

Otherwise, thank you for the praise with the game. Glad you seem to be enjoying it by and large. And hopefully with this advice you can get past that particular enemy and enjoy the rest of what the game has to offer.

With a strip tease and a combo of grapple moves and items i finally got it. Then got my ass handed to me in the first cave with the stronger slug creatures. Lmao

I love this, especially the nsfw stuff but I really hope for more dom corruption stuff because almost all of it is sub stuff. Not to say it isn't great, still nice but I just hope future releases add dom content

I really love this game. It’s the most creative, fun and friendly NSFW game I’ve ever seen. There are many people and objects in various scenarios with different dialogues or plots. It’s simply awesome.

I love interacting with things in games, but a lot of games just put things out there, but this game really responds! I love that.

Of course the NSFW part is also great and quite attractive.

So, a friend recommended this game to me, and I decided to give it a try. I know you've all probably got an outpouring of comments, so I'll try to keep this digestible. But I am a windbag at heart, so... uh, yeah.

Summary: I really enjoy the game. It's got a lot of great encounters, the art is expressive and tantalizingly evocative, the situation crafting is great.

1) Biggest criticism: Clicks. So. Many. Clicks.

I haven't worked with the development platform this game uses, so I don't know if it's a platform limitation or not, but if there is any way to reduce the number of clicks menus need in order to use items, equip things, whathaveyou, that would be a major, major improvement.

2) A hotbar for items you use frequently would also be awesome, so you don't have to go digging into your inventory multiple times to consume all those vigor capsules you've been saving up.

3) Other Thoughts: A "Load Game" option instead of needing to retreat to "Game End" menu and then "Resume" would also be nice.

4) As a new player, it'd be useful to have the game explain what corruption is a little more thoroughly, and how it's important. The only thing I recall from the game is a brief comment from the blacksmith.

Loving the development so far, the art, and the story. Hoping to see more of it, and more of the Veteran, Rinnal, and Bosc. Yeah, maybe I have a type. Or types. The Veteran is a DILF who I could never find in the daytime. Maybe I just need to search harder, or maybe there is a reason he mysteriously disappears each day. Hmm.

I am a fan of the bottoming scenes, but I'm glad it seems you have situations presented for both to help cover bases. I am also a fan of how you cleverly designed the combat so that losing armor can actually have a benefit, situationally.

As for your feedback, regarding clicks... you know you can use the keyboard, right? Holding Space or Enter will have things auto-scroll, and is generally a li'l quicker if you haven't been using that. Otherwise, as far as more bespoke shortcut keys and commands and game loading, it's something we can try and look into, but it's mostly limited by the engine itself. It doesn't naturally have these functions, so we'd have to look into ways to code them in. We'll keep it in mind though as a future convenience though, if we can find easy enough ways to code in these extra features.

And as for corruption, yeah, it's kind of obtuse at the moment. It was originally meant to just sort of semi-hidden tracker of the lewd stuff you got up to but its morphed beyond that. We'll likely rework it and its features in future updates and make it a bit clearer.

How do you get the chest 

There is a puddle of Green slime Sticking to the top of this memory.... you see visions of a distant Cliffside lake and an overbearing black thong on your groin?

Acquire the corrupt underwear from saving Kuno (the blue dragon) in the forest at the start of the game. Wear the underwear, and travel to the right, along the cliffside and past the green slime enemies, until you get a cutscene.

Absolute gem.

Not sure if this is a recent thing or just something that's happening to me, but the game struggled in the dream with the imp, The combat and everything there was unaffected, it was just moving around and trying to press space to see stuff, it was like it was lagging really bad but it was the game lagging, even checked other things on my computer and they were all fine, it was just the game. not sure if there's a fix or whatever but thought it best you know as i've never had that problem before, still LOVE the game though! Hope to see more soon!

Have you by any chance moved the game onto an external drive or memory card or something that's NOT the main harddrive of your computer?

Because doing that causes a very big CPU bottleneck as RPG Maker and Grove are now trying to run off of the throughput from your external drive instead. That's the most common cause of laggy performance that wasn't there before

ok where the hell do i find the blacksmith after he leaves the central camp, i cant find him anywhere. the other dragons said he went to his old workshop but idk where that is.

Open your menu. Go to the Docs. Case. Teleport to Northern Bridge Campsite. Then cross the bridge to the north. If the bridge isn't there yet, head into the building to the left and activate the lever at the back.

thx, i actually found it an hour after i posted that. and also completed the current state the game is in. now im goin through it and trying to not get corruption. thats gonna be hard for me lol. also when is the  part 2 coming out for dark places. i told some friends about the game, and they wanna know too.

Hi, I just beat the game for the first time, and I gotta say, I LOVED IT! I went in hoping for some nice lewd fun, and came out emotionally invested in a bunch of adorable dragons! So, big props to you for making one of the best lewd games I've ever played. I was a bit curious, do you plan on adding a bit more dom scenes for grove? Take it to the Wizard at the inn. He'll hand it off to the blacksmith and you can find it and interact with it at the forge.

Hey, how do I progress? I've just shopped at bizz' store for the first time. But there's no more quests or seemingly anything to do. Thanks in advance 

Visit Auxiliary Hall, one screen to the left of the Inn, and check the quest boards to see if there's any quests you missed.
If you're on a quest, check your Docs. Case and your Task Log for a reminder of what you're doing.

Otherwise, the final piece of content is dealing with a certain moth fellow. If you've done that, you've done everything for now.

I haven't fought a moth yet. I have no unfinished quests and my docs. Case says I'm doing nothing. Very confusing.

Try going to the Inn and using a Hot Coffee Bean to make it night-time, and then exploring around the campsite. Check the buildings.

translation patch doesn't  work on Mac? I tried Japanese and French.

Which macOS device do you use out of curiosity? Some may require a different loading method so make sure the base game actually works.

If it does run without the translation patch, ensure that you're putting the files in this location:

........\GROVEv0.308MAC\GROVE.app\Contents\Resources\app.nw

- You should be able to see 7 folders in there (audio, data, fonts, etc). Drag and drop into the location to replace the data folder, and it should be good to go.

thanks for your reply, but when I replaced it, the window remains dark and doesn't start.

and next i droped   the contents of the ''js'' and   ''data'' of the patch into the app.nw\data and  app.nw\js and replaced. the apps starts、but soon display now loading and this error comes up; Error: Loading Error: Failed to load: img/system/Shadow1.png.

and it does run without the patch.

Check if the 'Shadow1.rpgmaker' file is in the 'img\system' folder, might be missing.

If it's there, double check the 'shadow' file name for linux (might be the same for MacOS). If it's called 'Shadow1.png', with the 'S' as a capital, try renaming it to 'shadow1.png' and seeing if that works.

If it's called 'shadow1.png' already when you checked, rename it to 'Shadow1.png' WITH the capital and see if that works.

it wass called 'Shadow1.png',   and I renamed it to 'shadow1.png', but it doesn't work and failed to load Shadow1.png,Shadow2.png and so on,

when I drop ''data'', this error comes up.when I replace the'js', the window remains dark.but when I replace the contents of ''js''('plugins.js' and 'Js'' or ''plugins'' folder), the game starts in English.

Unlike items that can be obtained after a number of attempts, it is very painful to have to make the correct choice five times in a row in a gamble that is influenced by simple luck.

I am not confident in my luck at all, so I do not usually gamble this way, but when I am told that I can get an item in the game, I get curious and play it over and over again.

However, when the number of attempts exceeds 1,000, I realize once again my lack of luck and quit the game in frustration.

I don't want the game to have elements that can't be handled by your own ability.

We'll consider toning down the requirements for the coin-flip mini game, but keep in mind it's simply a small document case token that you can acquire. It's little more than a cosmetic badge, designed for those that don't have much else to do with their gold.

We definitely won't be focusing on tedious RNG when it comes to items that do indeed affect gameplay flow.

the section in the desert where you have to manage your temp doesn't seem to be working for me? I walk repeatedly on tiles with shade but it doesn't cool me down and I just lose anyway. Unless the shaded tiles are smthn else and I'm mistaken

nvm I figured it out! I was walking on the shading next to walls thinking it was the shaded tiles lmao
